An absolutely incredible relic from 1969 unearthed from a frozen Washington D.C. flea market in the winter of 2002. A recording made by a young man in his bedroom. Mingering Mike, the story of a man as fantastically unbelievable as it is undeniably real. As complicatedly contradictory as it is simply dualistic.

Mike, who started mingering as a terribly shy youngster, dreamt of becoming a world famous soul super star and eventually let the dream recede only to be discovered when a storage company auctioned off his belongings. Today, Mingering Mike, a grown man, has built a life for himself removed from his teenage dreams, yet he is delighted to see so many people engaged by his art. It's sort of like having your diaries published while you're still alive. All these strangers looking in on your private life. Now, 38 years behind schedule, Mike's voice can be heard.
