Remixes of hip-hop songs. Recorded in the course of a charity drive to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Happened to be reading American Pictures by Jacob Holdt from 1977, and was struck by how much has stayed the same for the impoverished. As a result, the record developed a percipience of its own. Anger particularly, but more importantly, rousing the personal committment to fight untiringly until these ideas have triumphed.
